Hey, I’m Joey.

I make short videos about whatever’s on my mind: opinions, stories, bits, and the occasional song. This website is entirely serious. I mean every word of it.

The short version

I was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in the back of a Subaru Outback, on the last day of the year. I’ve always had something going. At 12 I was reselling things on eBay for family and friends, and in 2020 I started an Etsy shop selling custom face masks and ran it for two years. I still work at a restaurant.

How it started

I started out posting finance videos: me at a kitchen counter, splitting a paycheck into five numbers. People watched. One of them did 4.55M views on Instagram, and a barbershop song I wrote about the same five numbers did another 6.14M, most of them on Facebook. All in, my videos have 18.1M views across 347 posts.

Where it’s going

Making the same video every day got old. I’d rather make you laugh than make you budget. So now it’s talking heads, stories, bits and songs, about whatever I think is worth saying out loud.

Off camera, I’m writing more songs, designing an arcade game called GIBEO, and the merch is coming.
